Heart attack is one of the biggest causes of death in the world. A heart attack is said to be responsible for one-third of all deaths in the world.
Heart attack has
become a very common occurrence in Bangladesh nowadays.
Often the initial
symptoms of a heart attack go unnoticed.
But doctors say it
is possible to reduce the risk if you look at the initial symptoms and take
precautions.
According to a study by the British Heart Foundation, if you do not notice the initial
symptoms of heart disease, it can lead to many complications, not just death.
Early symptoms:
- Chest pain - pressure pain, heavy pain on one side of the chest or across the chest
- Pain in other parts of the body --- It may seem that the pain is moving from one part of the body to another, such as chest pain in the hands. Usually, there is a pain in the left hand, but there can be a pain in both hands.
- Dizziness or lightheadedness
- Sweating
- Shortness of breath
- Nausea
- Chest throbbing or feeling restless for no reason
- Cold or cough
Most of the time
chest pain is very intense, so many people do not feel the pain in other parts
of the body.
Again, some people
may not have felt chest pain, especially women, older people and those who are
suffering from diabetes.
Doctors say that
shortness of breath, chest pain or loss of consciousness occurs one month before
a normal heart attack.
Why is it a heart
attack?
The blood that
flows to our heart come through the arteries to the heart. When it becomes
narrow, blood can clot inside the duct.
As a result, blood
flow through the ducts may be stopped.
This weakens the
heart muscle so that it can no longer carry oxygen.
A heart attack
occurs when oxygen does not flow through the heart.
What to do in case
of a heart attack?
Seek medical
attention immediately after a heart attack.
A study by the
British Heart Foundation found that one hour of delay in receiving treatment
increased the death rate by 10 percent.
- Must be taken to the hospital immediately
- Immediately after a heart attack, spread the patient's arms and legs in a hard place and lie down and loosen the clothes.
- If the sufferer stops breathing after a heart attack, try resuming his artificial respiration.
- If the patient vomits after a heart attack, tilt him to one side. So that he can vomit easily. This will protect the heart attack person from vomiting in the lung-like organs.
How to prevent a
heart attack?
- You have to change your diet and lifestyle, you have to walk and exercise regularly, you have to be active
- Diabetes and high blood pressure should be controlled
- You have to keep yourself worry-free
- Smoking should be stopped
- Occasionally seek medical advice.
